About Susie
Fifteen years inside legal systems. Built for what comes next.
Susie Kalen has spent fifteen years at the intersection of legal practice and operational technology — not as a technologist who discovered law, but as someone who has done both simultaneously. Private practice, in-house roles, consulting, and university teaching across Europe and the Middle East.
Over that time, she has worked with some of the world's most operationally complex organisations — Lego, Amazon, ABB, Unilever among them — designing the workflows, governance frameworks, and agentic layers that make AI adoption real rather than theoretical. The challenge has never been whether AI can work. It's whether the organisation is ready to let it.
She also founded Legal Advice Me, holds an MoU with the UAE Ministry of Justice, received a grant from The Hague Institute for Innovation of Law (HiiL), co-authored a textbook published by Edinburgh University Press, and has taught at Middlesex University and DIFC Academy.
